I would prefer to NOT buy and then have to unlock the iPhone...why not sell it unlock like what Palm is doing with the Centro...

		<description>The only way that my next phone will be an iPhone is if they get away from the single-carrier system.  AT&amp;T may have &quot;more bars&quot;, but they also have 50% dropped calls whenever I am on their network and that is unacceptable.  I am not paying $600-$800 for a phone that I have to hack onto some other carrier. 

From my understanding, they have an exclusive contract with AT&amp;T for another 2 years at least.   Apple needs to get their heads out of their asses and sell this unlocked and work with the other 3G carriers to make it work easily.</description>
