Just got the taxes done for the year. This is the 3rd year I’ve gone with H&R Block’s online software and I’ll do it again. To be sure, there was a small snafu last year in which H&R caught and fixed it themselves, but I have been very happy with the whole process.
Previously I used TurboTax for many years. And as easy as it was over traditional paper, the whole thing just felt dirty. I’m not sure exactly why. Perhaps it was the unnecessary charge for electronically submitting, or perhaps it was the rebates (I hate rebates – just give me the price without the paperwork). But for whatever the reason, TurboTax never seemed to respect me, or care about creating quality software. H&R Block does, and I like this quality for the company that holds all of my financial and tax information.
So, again this year, my money goes to H&R Block.
