The “big” link for this week may be entirely self serving, but I hope you will find it has some use too. All of the links I’ve been sending out in these emails are now available online – they are sorted, cataloged, and even a handy archive is available showing all of the links back to the very first email in November of 2006. Beyond that web site, there were many interesting things to link to this week. I am, however, going to defer them to another week and focus on one specific topic (a “special”, one might say!) on Podcasts.
Podcasts first became popular in 2004. They are radio & tv shows delivered automatically to your computer over the internet for playback on your iPod, mp3 player or TV. Think of it as TIVO for radio, or TIVO for shows only available on the internet. If you haven’t looked into these before I highly recommend it! You can find a good catalog of Podcasts in the iTunes Store (don’t be fooled by the name though – Podcasts are free!), or there are a number of web sites out there that catalog them.
