Declaration of Independence on Display in St. Paul

An original copy of the Declaration of Independence will be part of a display at the Minnesota History Center near downtown St. Paul May 6-18, coinciding with Minnesota Statehood Week, commemorating the 150th birthday of Minnesota. It is one of only 25 remaining original copies of the Declaration printed on the evening of July 4, 1776, and the only one that travels for exhibition.” [via Explore Minnesota]

I’m sure you know plenty about this historic document already, but if you’d like a refresher, check here or jump straight into the annotated text.

Sometimes Red Sometimes Blue

http://www.sometimesredsometimesblue.com/ is a great web site. A perfect web site really.

The site delivers precisely and exactly what you expect. No more, no less. No over-promises. No expectation-padding. It is fully self contained and not dependent on any other web site. Works in every browser on every computer (except perhaps the Lynx text-only web browser for you geeks out there). But I really like it. It is simple.

Sometimes it is red, and sometimes it is blue. But it has never been any other color. Nice.

Data without Purpose is Noise

37 Signals suggests you question your work and always focus on adding value:

  1. Why are we doing this?
  2. What problem are we solving?
  3. Is this actually useful?
  4. Are we adding value?
  5. Will this change behavior?
  6. Is there an easier way?
  7. What’s the opportunity cost?
  8. Is it really worth it?
